Summary
Inlay does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data. It has no account system, analytics, advertising, or remote data service.
Information stored on your device
Water entries, their times, your usual amount, units, optional daily intention, reminder settings, Apple Health export preference, and short-lived interaction feedback are stored locally. The app, widget, and system controls use an Apple App Group container so they can read the same local record.
System features
If you choose to enable or add them, Inlay uses Apple-provided local notifications, widgets, system controls, Siri, App Intents, Shortcuts, and Apple Health. The app does not operate a server that receives your water records. Your use of Apple services and device backups is also governed by your Apple settings and Apple's privacy terms.
Optional Apple Health export
If you intentionally enable Apple Health support, Inlay requests permission to write dietary water only. It does not request permission to read Health data, and it does not copy existing Inlay history. Eligible new entries are written to your private Health store; later corrections, deletion, or restoration update only the Health samples created by Inlay. The developer cannot access this data.
Permissions
The app asks for notification permission only when you intentionally enable the optional quiet checkpoint. It asks for Apple Health write permission only when you intentionally enable Health export. It does not request Health read access, location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, Bluetooth, motion data, or App Tracking Transparency permission.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you correct or delete them, or remove the app and its local data. A device backup may preserve or restore app data according to your Apple backup settings. Inlay has no remote account or copy for us to delete.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If the app's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the changed version is distributed.
